MOMS Club of Norman-Northeast, Oklahoma, is a support group for moms who live in Norman, OK -- EAST of Flood Street and NORTH of Main Street/Alameda Street. Our members are stay-at-home moms, moms who have home-based businesses, and women who work outside the home but are available for their children during the day.

What We Do:

Playgroups. Moms with babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children often attend a weekly playgroup that meets in members' homes, an indoor play place, or a park, and our Big Kids playgroup meets after school twice a month.

Outings. Every month we plan outings and some play time -- park dates, nature walks, indoor playgrounds, the city sprayground, visits to fire stations, bumper bowling, the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum, area zoos, etc.

MOMS Night Out. The monthly MOMS Night Out is a chance to get together and enjoy conversation "after hours". We often have dinner at a restaurant, and have also had board game nights, a spa night, and other ideas.

Interest groups. Our chapter has a strong tradition of interest groups, many of which meet once a month: Frugal Group, Book Group, Gardeners, Homeschoolers, Schoolmoms (morning coffee for moms of school-age children -- kids are welcome), and the newer AWOL (Adults WithOut Littles -- a lunch group for moms of kids in school).

Service Projects. In addition to our activities, our chapter does community service projects throughout the year, such as donating books for pediatric patients at Norman Regional Hospital, providing Christmas toys for underprivileged children of our community, and sponsoring young mothers for an infant/child CPR class. We also assist the west Norman chapter with a very successful fundraiser, Touch a Truck Day, which benefits the children's section of the Norman Public Library.
