| Kali's puppies are 3 weeks old now and are growing quickly. They weigh about half of what they will when they go to their permanant homes. As you can see in the pictures, their eyes are fully opened and they can also hear. Although they still sleep quite a bit, when they are awake they are filled with energy and are beginning to play with their siblings and toys. Their teeth have come in enough to allow them to start eating actual dog food. Right now their dinner consists of a mixture of oatmeal and puppy kibbles ground up into a gruel. By the time they leave here at 7 weeks, they will be able to eat regular dry puppy food. The puppies are at an age now where they occasionally attempt to climb out of the whelping box. They just don't realize that they are still way too small and weak to be successful in this "jail break" |
