| The newborns at this early age look quite differently than they will when it is time to go home (and much much smaller). Notice how the nose has very little coloring and the ears are flat to their heads. Their eyes are closed and they cannot hear yet. However, these little balls of fur are quite capable of yelping loudly to let mom know when they are hungry, lost, or hurt. Most importantly though, they can smell, feel, and creep to find mom and a nice warm meal. |
