| Patience is a women's greatest virtue, or so the saying goes. A softball player must have said it, for a softball player knows. That in this funny sport of ours, discouragment runs high. And at times the very best will find, this virtues past us by. When knees arecut from slidding when every mucsles sore, Can a softball player still have patience to limp on the field for more? When you've lost games you should have won, and progress seems so slow, Can you have faith in better days, and not feel so sad and low? Can you admitt that you are frightened? yet not give into fear? Can you conquer pain, frustration, and often even tears? When someone else does something you've tryed so long to do, Can you be truly happy for them, or just pitty it for you? And when success seems far away, your efforts all in vein, Can you force yourself to smile, and disreguard the pain? And if dispite the tribulations, you say "I WONT GIVE IN". then maybe someday you'll discover..... "Thats Now's Your Time To Win...." Up here all alone. The crowd looks on, what if I strike out? My knees are shaking , my legs are weak. Can�t anyone help me up here at the plate. Here�s the wind hope I get it, Smack out of the park everyone one yells �.. HOMERUN!! |
