MAKING
YOUR CHARACTER
So, you're ready
to create your character? This guide will take you through the
steps that you need to take in order to make one.
- Even before
you create a name, you must select your character's Race (this may
influence the name). Be sure to weigh the option
carefully, as it will heavily influence all of your other
choices.
- The second
thing you need to do is create a name for your character.
Remember, this is a serious RPG, so no stupid names. It's
OK if they're weird, but not crazy. For example,
Grumiling is an OK name, but Stupidpoopyhead isn't. Be
careful of using titles, as some of them may not be
allowed. For example, Harry the Fierce is fine, but Sir
Harry may not be allowed ("sir" may be a
special title given). Also, remember that you can be a
character from Majora's Mask.
- The next step
is choosing the Skills. Think about what
weapons you'd like your character to know how to use and
what other skills he knows. Remember to stay within what
your race can learn, as well as your point limit. Also
keep in mind that the profession points you spend will
determine your main profession (be sure to choose
one, you can even choose one if you're in the military).
Finally, remember, that many of the items in the Items section also
require skill points to use.
- Now that
you've selected your Weapon Skills, you need to choose
your Weapons. You may have 1
weapon for every weapon you've spent a Skill point on (it
is considered you already had these when you began). One
of your weapons may be an Advanced Weapon (such as a
Razor Sword or Silver Gerudo Spear). You will start out
with one of these weapons. Choose wisely what weapon you
wish to start with. The rest you will have to buy. Your
character does not start out with Armor or Masks.
- Now select
the Items that go along with
your Non-Weapon Skills. If an item is expendable, you
start out with only 1. All other items fall into the
"choosing" category. For this category, you
must choose 1 item you wish to start with. This item must
be of low-quality (for example, you cannot start out with
a Pearl Pictograph, you must start out with a normal
Pictograph). The Items you have the ability to start with
are those that you have skills for, excluding horses.
- If you have a profession that requires a building, choose
where your shop is (*note- only pre-built shops may be
taken by your character... otherwise, he'll have to sell
from a tent somewhere). If your character will be in the
military, you do not have to worry about this. Characters start out in Termina Field and make their ways to where they want to live. If you are of a different race and take a building before a leader is chosen, you may be forced out of it. Try to make a deal with the Leader, and hopefully the Leader won't be an anal fucktard like willis.
- Choose your
character's weapon order and dominant hand. The weapon
order will determine which weapons are used in Combat
when you are not present to play as your character (you
may add Deku Nuts before a weapon as well). Note that you
will not necessarily have all of the weapons. This also
includes when you use items.
- At the end,
include a message stating "I have read over
the site and know the rules to the best of my knowledge.".
See below for details. Don't write this if it's a lie,
just read up a little bit!
- Sign up by posting your stats at the designated topic.
.You may also
include background, appearence, age, and other fun (and
optional) information about your character. Be sure to
also include all of the information you've selected above
as well as your board name at akGameFAQs.
Your character
begins with 100 rupees, and may get more by selling items or
doing certain work. Each character also begins
with clothes and a tent, and personal belongings. A building can
be obtained if one is available and the leader OKs it. A building
is furnished with common objects to make it more lively, like
plants, paintings, and other things.
If your character
dies and you're creating a new character, be sure to send who
your old character was with your description. Remember, the name
of your character must be different. See the Death general rule
for more info.
If your
character's profession allows him/her to produces several
different items, you must choose an item to focus on for that day
(or period of days). You may not, for example, create a Short Bow
and Large Quiver in one day if you are a Bowyer, you must choose
which one you will concentrate on making.
It is required
that you read over this site and learn the rules to the
best of your abilities. There is no way for me to enforce this,
but if you don't read over the site, you're setting your
character up for being an un-fun, annoying person that few will
want to be involved with. For the good of the RPG, please read
over the site.
