Lifelight

In the dim blue glow I hold one bead
Where that tear has slid has shown
the softer portion of my palm
It shimmers in the lifelight of my soul
The creases and folds of my fingers and skin
Make me feel old, make me feel the cold
But that moist drop gives me hope.
