Week twelve
This week Dr Siva discusses our assignment on electronic Portflio, which we have to subimit next week. I think that my electronic portfolio is about creating Learning Organization by ICT Application. I will show the draft of my project to the class next week. The second point that Dr. Siva covers today is about educational objects and stimulation. It is really amazing that the authority concerned invest so much money on the project. However, this investment is worthy in terms of what to be expected in return. Becaue the project helps the students learn and practice before they have practical work. "http://www.froguts.com" is a good example for learning stimulation because before students have to cut the real frog the should practice it in the computer. On the other hand, this also has its dark side, becaue student will not experiece the real frog themselves. They lack authentic work. This may vary students' feeling when they have to cut the real frog.

Another thing that Dr. Siva tells us to find educational objective and stimulation on the web. Each of us has found different ones. For me I have found "Word Twist" from the game room of www.yahoo.com. I believe that this stimulation can help students learn test their vocabulary skills by themselves and they also knw the proress of their skills through their recorded score.

Another interesting thing in the class today is presented by Simon. It is about community of practice. I think that what I am going to do on my port folio is similar to what Simon presents us today. Because the topic of my final project is Creating Learning Organization by ICT Application, which focuses learning by sharing among the colleagues within the organizaton.
Polsani, P. R. (2003) Use and Abuse of Reusable Learning Objects
This article is very interesting fo the one who is preparing to build a project for educational objective and stimulation. Becaue the text quite provide clear functional requirements of learning objectives. These functions include accessablity, reusablity and interoperabilty. These functions are similar to the benefits derived from the object characteristics in object-oriented programming.

In the concept of the reusable learning object, Polsani recommends that its defintion should clearly lay out learning reusability as  two fundamental prediccates of the learning objectives.
Learning intention has two apects: form  which is the framework in which a digital objecti is embedded , and it is the form that sets a media asset on the path to becoming a learning obejct; and relation.

While form and relation are two aspects of learning intention in learning intention provide a mechanism for te internal constitution of a learning objective, the reusable learning object is the secndary principle that serves as the foundation for definig a learning obejctives. It represents an alterantive approach to content development. In this approach, content is broken down into chunks. From a pedagogical perspective, each chucnk might play a specific role witin an a instructional design methodology. The requirements for each chunk are

- Each chunk must be able to communicate with learning systems using a standardized method that does not depend on the system.
- What happens within a chink is the chunk's business.
- How a larner moves chunks us controlled by the learning system.
- Each chunk must have a description that enbles designers to search for and find the right chunk for the right job.
