This week is the last week before the mid-term break of first semester. Today, Dr. Siva�s class is about the strategic plan. Dr. Siva shows us how we design implementation of strategic plan. ICT in education setting. He gives an analogy of how to build a swing by using rope and car wheel. From the analogy, we can see that different people can have different perspectives of how to build the swing even though they have the same tools. Therefore, communication at all levels is the key to achieve the purpose.
After Dr. Siva�s class, Simon present us some key terms that we often see in the internet sucha as �http� which is the abbreviation of Hyper Text Transfer Protocal, �www� refers to world wide web, �.com� refers to commercial; �.edu� refers to education, �.org� refers to organization; and �.com.au� refers to commercial as in Australia.
Apart form the abbreviations above, Simon also shows us the different sizes of memory of PPT, PDF, SWF and HTML when they are applied with the same document. The memory can help us to decrease the memory of the document in the computer. |

It is interesing to learn what to cover in the preparing ICT development plan for a certain education organization. As illustrated in the article which has been designed to help schools to prepare or upgrade their ICT Development Plan. In order to implement effectively, the plan should cover the areas as the checklists these include: ICTaudit, Raising standards, ICT accross the curriculum, Managing and sustaing ICT provision, Integration of management and administration ICT, Professional development, Inclusion, 'Out of hours' use; and Acceptable use policy.
From this article, it gave me rise to create my ICT system which will be applied in my organization. This gives useful information in terms of content and system. |

This handout is very useful for my ICT strategic plan as a final assignment. It gives the clear guides for steps and procedure in order to prepare the plan.
From this guidance, I have found that ICT strategic plan should include three main components: vison state ment, context and the stakeholdes who are the learners, the teachers, the leaders and the infrastructure. Each stakeholder has their own goal, specific goals, action plan performance measures and evaluation. |
