Today is the first day for the subject of Designing for Online Instruction, Learning, Assessment and Evaluation (EDET9323) lectured by Siva. This topic is interesting because it examine the importance of instructional design and human computer in0teractions in enhancing online learning and teaching. According to Siva by the end of this topic we are expected to:

� Create, evaluate and discuss research literature on teaching-learning assessment nexus, HCI and ID;

� Create an education website and embed a number of objects/scripts;

� Develop an online mechanics for surveys, tests, evaluation and reporting of student learning

� Develop an electronic portfolio database archive and associated evaluation rubrics;

� Demonstrate the use of available tools online assessment, evaluation and reporting;

� Communicate our views about integrating online tools to enhance teaching, learning and assessment;

� Propose and write a research/strategic plan for undertaking teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation online; and

� Implement a school-based on the above research/strategic plan.

Personally, a valuable competence in designing online instruction is the thing that I want to explore. Since I come from the education institution, the National University of Laos,  hopefully on my home return I can apply and implement the obtained knowledge form this topic  to improve education system in my organization.
