Game Eleven
Played 6/7/02 on Geoff Watt Ground against Alstonville Lions. The Cyclones hit the field with only 6 players, & of those none were fully fit, for a game of soccer. To add to their woe's, the ground was 3/4 size, instead of the 1/2 size, they usualy play on. The cyclones kept the Lions at bey for a while but the flood gates eventually opened up. Sam did a fantastic job in goals, it was his first time in that position & he played it like an expert, making many fine saves. Totally out-numbered, the Cyclones put a galliant effort. Although they(Cyclones) finished scoreless, they did manage to hit the woodwork a couple of times. the final score 5-0
