The Boston Celtics have won the most championships in the NBA with 16 between 1957 and 1986. The Celtics won 8 championships in a row from 1959-1966. There have been many memorable players from those teams including Bob Cousy, Tommy Heinson(the current color commentator for the Celtics), and John Havlicek. Stars from the 1980s include Larry Bird, Cedric Maxwell, and Kevin McHale. The alst few years have been rebuilding years, and have seen the addition of young, up-and-coming players. Last year saw the Celtics win the division championship, but lose to the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs. With their good draft picks, and the team coming together, the Celtics are going to be a strong team for the 2005-2006 season.
