One of the most common questions we are asked is, "What can non blanket
makers do?". My answer to that questions is, "The possibilities are
unlimited." When I asked two of our volunteers (who are also non
blanket makers), Tanya Baker and Jenny McNutt the same question, they suggested:
-
Bake for our bake sales
-
Deliver Binkies
-
Provide information for the
newsletters
-
Knot blankets at the monthly
meetings
-
Plan and organize fundraisers
-
Inform people in our community
about Binky Patrol
-
Ask local community organizations
if they would be interested in a BP Presentation
-
Locate resource providers
-
Make BP Presentations
-
Locate new volunteers
-
Sew labels on Binkies
The possibilities
are endless. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to keep our
chapter running. If you have a suggestion or and idea that you would
like to share, please contact us. We would love to have your help. |

If you know of any local churches, organizations, etc. that would be interested
in a Binky Patrol presentation, please let us know. If you are interested
in making any of these presentations, the help would be wonderful. |

When knotting blankets it is very important
to make a square knot to ensure the yarn does not come loose easily. Tie the
yarn "right over left" and then "left over right". Here is a website
with detailed pictures and instructions:

For anyone who does not have internet access that would like a copy of the
tutorial, contact Brandy and one will be mailed to you.
