webcam goes live. The webcam allows you to pan and zoom around the site.  The webcam helps us by emailing us a picture of the quarry every hour so we can ensure the site is safe and you can capture images. The spectacular quarry face is designated a geologically important area because of its educational value.  The webcam enables Warwickshire schools to inspect the site without putting pupils at risk.  The quickest way to move the camera is to click on the picture.  to save right click and save as.  Our thanks to Eamonn Gabriel for this.

This weeks news

We are restoring the quarry frontage along the Tuttle Hill Road to its original contours.  This area and new access was originally the site of 20 quarry cottages.  We have offered this area to Warwickshire County Council as a base for their Highways improvement operations in Nuneaton for 2002-6 and made detailed application for 20,000 sq ft of new offices and units.  Both uses can be accomodated.

HM Queen's Golden Jubilee.  We lit a beacon on the quarry on June 3 2002 at 10.45pm as part of the chain of beacons commemorating the Golden Jubilee.

Strong identity for quarry.  Hollywood signs are researching permanent signage for the quarry,

Regeneration of the quarry was originally visualised by Mike Woods, Chief architect at WS Atkins who reported on the site in 1998.  Mike continues to follow the scheme by the internet in his new role flying light aircraft aid and mercy missions in East Africa.  In 1999 Mike and Marietta joined MAF with Mike serving as a humble pilot in Tanzania.  In 2000 Mike was appointed head of programme in Tanzania and in Uganda.
