| Nancy Lee Grahn�s Event |

| After all of this sightseeing, it was time to head to the Lodge for Nancy Lee Grahn�s event. I�ve never been to any kind of fan event before, so I had no clue what to expect. First, we went by the pool to find friends from online and sat and had a drink while waiting. The first person I found was KimAshton, it was great to be able to recognize her (from all of her Wally photos ;-)! I was worried about being able to find people. She told me that the others were around and would probably be down eventually� and so they were. Eventually a whole group formed at the pool and I got to meet Rachel, Lisa, Stef, Nicole, Trish, Kristen, Kim, Lalena, Dar, Brianne, and Kate (and Kate�s mom, aka the �coolest mom ever�). Kristen had a balloon and roses for me for my birthday, and Brianne had brought me a photo album and scrap booking goodies to document my trip to LA! It was all so nice, I can�t say how much I enjoyed meeting all of my fellow Alexis/Nancy, or Ric/Rick, or Rexis fans. |
| When it was time to line up for Nancy�s event, I got to mingle with more ladies and chat about how FCW usually goes. Everyone was so friendly. After checking into the event, we looked at all of the items for auction/raffle and bought tickets and a photo or two, including the following: |

| There was an auction for a lunch with Nancy and Ted (*swoon*) that Rachel and I considered bidding on, but by the time we made our final decision, they closed the auction! I�m still not over that one, lol. At the tables, I got to briefly meet a few posters from various boards (Eb, Julie, Carin, Tree) that I�ve posted with (on and off) for years. They were all hard at work pimpin� out the NLG items (some of which sold out, like the one of the guys above, and I think a Jaxis photo). Eventually, it was time for the event to start, and the first to arrive were the �Curly Boo� twins themselves, Emma and Sarah Smith. Everyone had to be quiet at first so as not to spook them before they got to the stage to sing, but everyone got up to take photos, as they were just too beautiful in person. |

| I can�t even describe how precious they were. They were active and talkative the entire event, kicking it off by singing the ABC�s for us. They appeared to enjoy the attention so much, that they didn�t want to give up the microphone when Nancy came in, instead giving her their toy microphone. |

| After Nancy got the microphone back and talked just a bit, her guests started arriving. Constance Towers and Corbin Bernsen came, as did Dylan Cash. Constance was gorgeous, and looks even more regal in person. I really hope we get to see more Helena on the show. She said during the event, that she wishes Helena could have an awakening or two regarding her family, and that she wouldn�t always JUST be trying to kill people because after a while, it gets repetitive to play that one note villainess. |
| The woman who won the trip to the GH set for a day, through Oprah, stood up to tell Nancy that she was the best part of her trip to the set, and really made the trip for her. She told Nancy that she was talking to Oprah about her and was telling Oprah how much Nancy meant to her during the trip and that she hadn�t been able to thank her then. The woman said that Oprah told her she would find a way to thank her, and the woman decided that a trip to Nancy�s event would be the best way. Nancy was blown away by this, and by the fact that Oprah had been discussing her. She said that she and the set tour winner had connected about something and really talked during her tour. It was a nice moment, and Nancy promised to reconnect with the woman later. |
| Corbin was such a hit during the event. He talked a bit about wanting to stay on GH, when someone asked him if Durant would be sticking around. He talked about having a respect for the medium and possibly being interested in starting a soap of his own (in which he could have a place for Nancy). This was all tied into a question Nancy had received that led into talking about being on a soap written from a male point of view, and Nancy relating the theme of the event a �Goddess� party, to the writers needing to find more of their feminine side, although not saying that the show had to be written by �Goddesses.� Corbin agreed by saying that he always believed soaps were about romance and relationships, and talked a tad about how even though GH was a soap structured around the mob, and that Sonny was a great anchor for the show, perhaps the satellite stories around the anchor needed to be a bit stronger and stand on their own. He talked about wanting more for Durant, and about how he was there to try and �bring Sonny down� but that he needed to have more than that. He did say that he�d talked to the writers about Durant being fleshed out a bit more, and even joked about Durant and Reese. Corbin also talked a little bit about being able to do other things while on GH, like �Carpool Guy� and went into wanting to make more movies and mentioned that he had some ideas for Nancy in one of his films. |

| When Dylan Cash came in, he joked around with Corbin a bit and for the most part just listened to everyone talk, interjecting here and there. |

| Eventually someone asked him a question about keeping in touch with Tamara, but Nancy didn�t hear that it was for Dylan and answered that she had talked to her a week or two ago and talked about her getting a part in an indie film. They finally found out it was for Dylan, and he answered that he has her phone number and they talk once a month to keep in touch. Somewhere in there, Dylan�s cell phone alarm went off and he apologized before revealing that he sets it to watch Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network. Somehow in talking about Carly, I don�t really recall how, but somehow Nancy talked briefly about Jennifer Bransford and giving her a chance as Carly. She said that TPTB didn�t cast to type, and that Jennifer really has a chance to make the part her own and that it�d be great if everyone would give her a chance. |
| Another fan asked the panel if someone was making a movie of their life, who would they want to direct it and who would do the score. Nancy answered Sydney Pollack for the director and, urm, I can�t remember who for music. Corbin answered Tim Burton for director (and therefore becoming my hero! SQUEEEEEETimBurtonSQUEEEEEE!) and The Rolling Stones (I believe) for music. I can�t recall Connie�s answers, because just then, my friend was telling me the battery on the camera had died. ? I managed to hear Dylan Cash saying the only directors he really knows are GH directors and chose a few of them for his movie. He didn�t have an answer for music, and Nancy joked �Britney Spears� to him and he wasn�t into that. Corbin eventually had to leave to get home to his family, and Dylan Cash left too, leaving Nancy and Constance to sign autographs. |
| As the ladies were going to their tables, Rick Hearst arrived. He joked about possibly needing to crawl in, and was promptly put to work calling raffle items. He was great� such the showman, being flirtatious and sweet the entire time. I didn�t get a photo of �the dip� (because our battery had died :-( ) but I saw it! Just cause I can link from elsewhere, here it is again for anyone who missed it <vbg>: |

| Nancy, once again, at this event said that Rick was just the best kisser, lucky actress! ;-) During the raffle/auction announcements, there were several cute moments. One was when Rick got to a magazine that had a photo of Sonny and Reese on the cover; he said he wouldn�t say who Sonny was with for fear of getting mauled (paraphrase). Second, when he got to the �Betrayal!� magazine cover about the ONS, he said he�d been waiting to be on one and when he got one it just had to be that one. LOL! And lastly, when he got to the announcement of the winner of the lunch with Ted and Nancy, he seemed shocked at the fact that it was with those two, he paused a second while reading the auction and then after reading it said �she didn�t ask MEEEE!!!� and told the audience he might have to be crashing that lunch! At which Rachel and I went �Grrrrrrrrrr� even more frustrated that we didn�t decide to bid early enough. While waiting for our table to be called, I got to talk a bit with Rach (another one so glad she got to come!) and even met Adri from SZ! |
| As the event started winding down, it was time for my table to go and have photos with Nancy and Constance, and Rachel (thank you SOOOOOOOOO much!) agreed to take photos for me. I didn�t think I�d get starstruck meeting Nancy (because I�ve worked around celebrities before) but I guess JUST because this is someone I�ve watched and enjoyed for years, I still got nervous and had no clue what to say. She was lovely though, very sweet, totally comes across differently in person (to those who say Nancy plays herself as Alexis, I say� WTF?). I don�t have my photo with her yet, but that�s ok, because the next day I got another! |
