Positive attitude leads to positive actions taken with a sense of urgency that is visible to management and customers alike.

This Quality methodology is utilized by NASA but hasn't quite caught on yet. It originated in the USSR and is worth a look. Remember the more tools in your box, the more jobs you can creatively handle. There is a link to a good site on the "contact me" page.
So you've got a new boss but you disagree with their ideas.
Take this tip to heart because it is the only real way to go. Support this person very strongly. Keep in mind that when managers and above are hired they usually have goals and ideas that they need to go after right away. Put yourself in their shoes. Just how long would you put up with fractured, half hearted support from your people.
Beware of the self-fulfilling prophecy. I have seen many good people start down the road of poor attitude and work habits because of a new boss. They then can't understand their bad review. Their habits get worse as they begin to claim that someone is out to get them. Eventually they end up being right. They are fired.
What's most interesting about the above situation is that when these same people get a new job they start off by doing what they needed to do at their old job to keep it.
