BACK

Well, we've finally received the long awaited pictures from our ultrasound back in November... unfortunately they are just like the film you get for an x-ray and our scanner can't get a good enough picture to post up here. You'll just have to wait until he's here in person!

Our "little boy" is turning out to be not so little after all! At my last doctor's appointment (Jan 30) he was in the "twins" zone. Since we know there's only one of him in there we are getting prepared for a 10 lb baby. No wonder I'm beginning to look as big as a house at only 29 weeks!

We are having problems coming up with a name for Sprout. If you've got a GOOD suggestion, or would like to cast your vote for the following: Spencer, Joshua, or Hayden (just remember that our last name is Christensen...) please email me.

We are proud to announce that we are expecting a new addition to our family on April 24, 2002!!
"Sprout" is on his way.

We discovered our new little one on August 21, when we arrived home in Edmonton after a long 12 hour drive from Vancouver. We were greeted by those ominous two lines on the home pregnancy test. We are excited at the prospect of another little one, this time we pray that it's for keeps. I've added a countdown clock so that you will all be able to keep track of how much time before he makes his grand entrance into the world.

We had our first ultrasound on November 28. We were a bit nervous because it was at this ultrasound last time that we found out about Nate's complications. The technitian at the clinic was very nice and went agains policy and allowed Colin to be in the room with me throughout the exam. We were very pleased, and releaved, to find out that "Sprout" is doing as perfect as can be detected! We also were able to find out that he's a HE!! We are bery excited about our new little boy. He is very active and is already beating me up. I have been fortunate to be able to feel him squirm since 14 weeks. He's just like his dad - he will not sit still :o)

We went for a second ultrasound on Feb 20 to see if I am going to give birth to an elephant instead of a little boy! (My doctors words!!!) Fortunatly, we had the ultrasound done at a different clinic and were able to get a proper picture of our little Sprout. Isn't he cute? He measured two weeks bigger than he ought - 33 weeks instead of 31 - and weighed in between 4 and 5 lbs. With 2 months to go that's a lot! He is still very active... we think he's builing a fort in there, or something :o) I will find out on Feb 27 if my due date will be changed from April 24.
