AUGUST, 2001: The Atlantic Provinces

- God made Labrador in six days. And on the seventh, He threw stones at it. (Old Newfoundland Saying)

The mountains in Labrador are the oldest in the world, beaten down by the elements and time. Over the ages the rocky summits have lost sight of their "drowned shores."

We spent two weeks of August exploring the East Coast of Labrador, and can't seem to put into words how much we learned and loved about the people and country we got to see. Also this month, we ventured around Quebec's mountainous Gaspese Peninsula,Newfoundland, charming Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick.

Thanks for tuning in - we'll be in touch.
