| Propaghanda is not really a form of media, in fact it just uses other forms of media to convey itself, but we think it deserves to be mentioned on our site anyways. Most of the time propaghanda is used for political or war purposes. The best known example is "Uncle Sam" who was used by the U.S. government to recruit people to the army. He would be freatured as he is seen below, but on a white background. Underneath his photograph the text would read something like: "Uncle Sam want you to enlist in the United States army". His |
| pupose is to make you feel patriotic and that your family will be proud of you if you join the army. Basically they're tricking you without you even knowing it. Although more recently propaganda in North America has not really been often used on account of their hasn't been much war, but with the U.S. invading Iraq who knows what could happen. |
