I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma,
Yuma, Arizona.

Ten miles from water and one foot from Hell.

Average temp during the summer 120F
I was one of those Marines that responded to Aircraft Emergencies,
wearing silver fire suits, looking like I was something out
of a SciFi Movie.

I spent alot of time in the desert, either on operations or at crash sites.
I got to know every military aircraft in the US inventory.
I also got to know alot of the Civilian aircraft.
