Ian Challis started sailing in 1994, discovering the sport through the school outdoor pursuits system, like the majority of the squad. He has achieved his Red award for Advanced Sailing, Powerboat level 2 as well as his Life Saver Plus. He regularly helps out down at the centre as a helper, and becoming an assistant instructor is his next qualification aim.
Ian is a very hard working person who is always caring about other members of society. Ian has really progressed recently and this is due to his amazing commitment. He will always fight until the very end of the race and it is this that is enabling him to achieve better results. His results will occasionally be average, but this is due to the inconsistancy that he is working hard to correct. |
