Indictment by the Blazing Band |
Tossel Blinghammer of the Hand of Valor,
When you met us, the survivors of the Blazing Band, in the Wyrmheart Mines of the deep jungle, we believed you to be our saviors. But your actions have proven you to be a graverobber, a thief, and very likely a murderer as well. You bear the blade of Harandil Truesilver, our friend and fallen ally; you, goodly cleric of an honorable deity, dishonorably defiled his remains; you, ignoble dwarf, lied in order to steal the rightful blade of a noble family; you, member of the Hand of Valor, have proven a coward who runs into a hole with his stolen treasure, thinking that there are no consequences for his actions. Do not deny this. We have confirmed it with divinations through Tymoras servants and the scrying of the War Wizards. You have already made mortal enemies of some of the mightiest houses in Cormyr, and we have long memories for those who have wronged us. Do not tempt our righteous fury. Return Harandils sword immediately and answer for your crimes, or we swear that you will live long enough only to regret your arrogance before we deliver you to your wretched god for judgment. Signed, Elber Lionstone, third heir to the Six Coffers Market Priakos and Luckbringer Most High of the Towers of Good Fortune Kortyl Rowanmantle, scion of the Rowanmantle Clan and Court Composer to Regent Alusair Nacacia Obarskyr Belnishor Thunderspells, Secretary of the Imperial College of War Wizards on behalf of the deceased Klasker Goldsword and Harandil Truesilver, Lionars of the Purple Dragons and Imperial Dragoons of High Horn Lord Ulath, I respectfully request the extradition of Tossel Blinghammer into Cormyrean custody. He has been charged by several prominent nobles with theft, murder, and willfully deceiving a representative of the War Wizards. It has come to my attention that Blinghammer was one of the men responsible for the destruction of the Storm Kings army and the reopening of Thunder Pass. In light of this service to Cormyr, I guarantee that he will be granted leniency. These actions do not, however, excuse murder. Regardless of his other deeds, Blinghammer must answer for his crimes. As you are well aware, Cormyr and Deepingdale have no formal political ties, and thus I am unable to force the extradition of this criminal. Denying this request, however, will result inBlinghammers trial in absentia, and likely a convicted as no one will be able to present a defense. This will also result in unfortunate consequences for the future relations of our nations. Respectfully, Oversword Sthavar Kings Lord of Suzail |
