Dydd's Farewell
After the good druids' voices died,
Followed silence starkly devoid of cries.
Amidst the black smoke of desolation,
Stood none other than Dydd the Wise.

Within two circles of stones she stood,
She was alone with his life now dead.
Lest this tragedy befall her home again,
She carved his hallmark there instead.

    Taking nature's children within hand,
She raised them all into able men.
Together they toiled several long years,
To bring the forest into thriving life again.

Yet, in the end even wisdom must die,
And then too must all its ways be lost.
Dydd's children wandered far and long,
Leaving none but time to deliver its cost.
