Twins were not expected. A half hour earlier Elvis still born twin brother had been born.

Elvis was a genuine surprize. They named the first baby Jesse Garon Presley.

Dirt poor, the only photograph of Elvis as a baby was this one around the age of 3. It was taken as a family picture at the jail house when Vernon, Elvis father was going off to serve time for altering the numbers on a check for a hog he sold his landlord. The landlord was taking advantage of their desperate situation and under paid Vernon. This is not to say forgery is acceptable however it takes any criminal intent off of Vernon who was trying to support his little family but getting a fair price for his hog.

As you can see, Elvis' finely chiseled face was not altered by plastic surgery as some of his friends have said. His features were God given.
Also note the stance, evidently Elvis always stood that way.
