This drawing was sent by my friend Mayumi, who lives in Hiroshima Prefecture. All the electric appliances in her house are powered by sun and she and her husband, Keke, often do activities to teach people about solar power. Recently they did a demonstration and pancakes in a solar cooker. They sold the pancakes for 50 yen each and donated the money to our fundraising campaign for Rehabilitation Centeres for Children (RCFC) in Kolkata! What a great idea ... and thank you so much! here is part of Mayumi's letter explaining what the did.

I gave a small bookmark (that you sent me ago about R.C.F.C) to each people who buy a pancake. On this day it was very very sunny day, so good flavor took many people to our place. Especially I was very impressed that elementary school kids bought them after my informal announcement about RCFC! 2,800 yen is not big money, but now many people knows about RCFC. And also many people find out about SOLAR COOKERS is the real power ! Have you ever seen them in India?
