I am very happy to have made a friend through writing letters. Even though our countries and languages are different, and there is distance between us, we are able to connect. This is the first time I have had a friend from another country and at first I was both excited and nervous. Now I just write the things I am thinking down in my letters, and through this I have made a very special friend!

I am always so delighted when a letter comes from Koel-san, and excited to see what she wrote inside. I open it up quickly to read it (I get help from my aunt who knows English very well). Once I start reading it, I hear about things in India, and what Koel-san has been doing since the last letter. It is really fun for me! I write back to her about Japan and what I do at school. I also write about pop star idols that I like, Japanese food, and other stuff. It is really a lot of fun and I'm learning too. It's really good having a pen-pal!

Contact Maura Aunty or our librarian Koel-Didi if you are interested in having a pen-friend. We will try our best to match you up with someone from another country and of the same age!
