I am still not a grown up. It is also true that I am not a baby anymore so the memories of my short past are, of course, still very fresh in my mind. It's nice to sit and look at all my photographs and think about what to write about my memories of being a small child.

I don't remember my first birthday very much but seeing the snaps I can guess how it was celebrated. It looks like many people came, and someone told me I tasted my birthday cake before they even cut it!

My first day of school is one of my most memorable days. My father took me to school, like he still does. I wore a new school dress and shoes that my family bought for me from Bata shoe store. I remember I felt like I was entering a new world. I was seeing and doing many new things, and meeting new people. Excitement filled me and at the same time I was feeling a little scared too. Soon I had a new best friend, Debamita! She's still a good friend even after so much time has passed.

I can also remember two very special days. One was when I danced with my friends on stage for the puja celebrations. That day was exciting because everyone at the audience was smiling at us. We wore special clothes. The other special day was my ninth birthday party. My parents made it a huge celebration and we invited everyone we knew. I usually don't have such a big birthday party, but this one I will never forget.

My eleven years of life is indeed only a short time, therefore the list of my experiences is not very long. Anyhow, all of these experiences are now memories for me. I have a long future ahead of me so I look forward to what memories the experiences I am going to have will turn into!

This is my father, my sister, my mother, and I at my ninth birthday party.
