Veekshanam Article on CPM
"Kalaveekshanam" (July 2000), the political monthly of the Congress Party has an article by M.A.John on the CPM - Communist Party of India (Marxist). The article exposes the myth around the Communist parties in India in general and CPM in particular. CPM is the biggest feudal lord in Kerala today. The party had been always using the downtrodden and lower caste people as the vote bank, and cheating them behind the scene.
Electricity board has been practically converted into CPM satellite. Millions of rupees are collected thru KSEB to the Communist Party. CPM is still led by an old elite with absoultely no power given to the newcomers in the party. The iron hand of the party falls on anyone who dares to criticize the party.
Communist Governments and party polices have systematically destroyed all industries in the state - both public and private. Today Kerala is an industrially backward state. CPM leader had been once to the USA asking Malayalees there to invest in the state. Who will dare to waste his money where there is no climate for industrial development?
On the other handm there is not much difference between political parties of today, except in the names and flags! The parties which broadcast widely different manifestos, in practice, converge into the same modus operandi. This is true in the government as well as within the internal party politics.
