I suppose I
inherited my fascination for science from my father who is a scientist at the
Indian Space Research Organization. All through my school life science and
mathematics were my favorite subjects and the subjects that drove me to read
more about them. What could have fascinated me more than the electronics
revolution, which enabled the world to shrink into a global village. Later when
I had to choose my subject for Undergraduation I did not have a doubt that I had
to go for Electronics and Communication Engineering. I was fortunate to get
admitted to the #1 Engineering Institute in the state. My subjects of interest lie in the field of Communications, with keen emphasis on Wireless Communication, Mobile Telephony and Computer Networks. I have dealt with my main interests in brief here. The spectrum of communication topics is so large that it is well beyond the scope of any website. I would encourage any person interested in the topics listed or any related communications topic to get in touch with me.
Research, teaching and industrial experiences:
I conducted a seminar during my undergraduation titled "Open Loop Chaotic Synchronisation of Injection locked semiconductor laser", in which I introduced the concept of chaotic encryption, challenges faced, synchronisation problems and further presented a specific case, where the major hurdle of synchronisation in chaotic systems is overcome using an open loop system instead of complex closed loops.
See the slidesAs a part of my Industrial Training Program I worked for a month at Xerox Modicorp (a joint venture by Xerox and Modicorp, India) on a software from National Instruments, USA named Lab View. A highly versatile tool, Lab View enables us to simulate almost any actual measuring instrument and can be put to actual use through its interface. At Xerox Modicorp the software is used to check the quality of motors and solenoids, by a method called Signature Analysis.
My main project for my undergraduation was implementation of trivial file transfer protocol and remote command execution in C. The project was done in linux environment with intel platform. Trivial file transfer protocol which is supposed to be the predecessor of FTP is a protocol that enables simple and high speed transfer of files over a network using UDP.

I have always been interested in communications as is reflected in my other pages. I believe my present software profession would add on to my skill sets to enable me to find work in a challenging and interesting field of my choice.
