Puzzles to puzzle you!!!

Welcome to the world of puzzles!!

I have presented a very selective collection of wierd puzzles I found around. I would like you ( or rather dare you) to do them. I am allways open for discussion, just get in touch. So go ahead and try each of them... i assure you that you wouldnt have found such cool ones..

  1. There are two number between 3 and 15, say x and y. We find the sum of the two numbers and give the sum to a person A. We now find the product and give the product to a person B. Both of them are not told what the numbers are. Now A and B meets and the following conversation happens.
A: "I just know the sum but not the numbers"
B: "I know the product but not the numbers"
A: "Now I know the numbers"
B: "Now I also know the number"

    What are the numbers?

Note: It's a purely logical puzzle and nothing to do with tricky sentence construction.

  2. This incident happens in heaven. Souls once they depart the world become wise men when they reach heaven. So god meets the wise men everyday in his durbar. The wise have some unique characteristics:

    • they do not see their reflection for any matter
    • they don not communicate with one another
    • they do not have emotions.
    • they are extremely obedient to god

Now one day god tells them " I have put a bindi on the forehead of some people and those people should not come to durbar from tomorrow. Now it was one of us we would definitely have told another person if he had a bindi but these people do not communicate, neither do they see their reflection. So unknowingly some people with bindi come the next day, and the next day and so on and on the 7th day none with a bindi came. Now how many people actually got a bindi?

  3. You are traveling from delhi to Bombay. At a point the road bifurcates and you don' know the right way. There are two people standing there. You know one of them speaks only the truth and the other only lie, but you don't know which one is which. You can ask just one question to find the right way. What should be your question?

  5. There are 12 coins of and which 11 are of uniform weight and one is defective (heavier or lighter). You have a simple balance and no weights, you have to find the defective coin with three weighings.

  6. There is a particular tribe who measure time using a rope which burns exactly in an hour but the rope burns irregularly i.e it burs fast at certain region and slow in certain other but eventually the total time it takes is one hour. Use the rope to measure 45 minutes
