MAXWELL/GUNTER YOUTH CENTERS 953-6292
Sports: Youth sports this fall include co-ed flag football and soccer (flag football is for ages 6-14, soccer for ages 5-15; cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members of Youth Center).
Open Recreation: fitness club, Torch Club, Keystone Club, and life skills classes like cooking. ($24 annual membership fee; 9 years old and up). Classes held at Centers: Piano, dance, tumbling, tap, ballet, jazz and karate (fees vary depending upon class & instructor).
United Gymstars & Cheer will be offering home-school classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00 for ages 6+ beginning August 1st. The cost is $6.00 per child per visit. What a great physical education class! No contract or enrollment fee, all we need is a signed waiver for each participant. Children will have access to our 20,000 sq. ft. facility, which includes the best equipment, 2 in ground trampolines, 5 in ground foam pits, tumble track and more. PRATTVILLE YMCA
- Has a great outdoor zero entry pool, three Olympic size pools (1 indoors), a fitness center (childcare available), an indoor play area, homeschool PE, gymnastics, swimming, golf, soccer, karate, basketball, and more! $100 to join and $43 per month for family membership. Activities with a teacher/coach have additional (reasonable) fees. www.prattvilleymca.org
The homeschool PE program is $10/month for members and $20 for non-members. Classes are on Tuesdays from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. and are for K-6th grades. A different activity is offered each month. For more info contact Jeffrey - 358-9622 Pre-registration is required.

PE - National Christian School Athletic Association is currently developing athletic opportunities and services for homeschoolers. There is a group forum online for discussion, questions and answers, distribution of information and for the purpose of building and serving the homeschool athletic commuity.
