Sorry for taking so long to update the web page.  Motherhood has brought a lot of responsibility and taken away most of the time I once had... but it is certainly worth it. For those of you who didn't get to hear the whole story, labor went well.  I spent the week before the twins were born at FMH due to high blood pressure and protein in my urine.  If it's not one thing, it's another, right?  The midwives and docs wanted me to try and make it to 36 weeks, but at 35 weeks we made the decision to induce.  The doc said I could either spend another week in the hospital or have the babies and I said, "Let's get this show on the road."  They gave me the pill at 1:00 and by 9, I had both of my babies.  The midwife said it would take about an hour for the pill to start working and she was pretty much right... 1:45 and the show was on.  I was doing well, feeling comfy until about half way through the Oprah Winfrey "favorite things" episode.  It was all downhill after that.  The contractions were coming one right after the other with no break.  I had signed the papers for an epidural back in the happy labor hours, so when the midwife came in and saw me sobbing, along with the mountains on the contraction monitor, she got me the drugs.  It didn't seem like more than an hour later that I started feeling pressure again.  I thought the epidural needed to be boosted, but no, it was Baby Time.  Pushing went well after they set up the mirror so that I could see my progress.  Russ made it through very well also.  I only had to tell him to be quiet once.  The girls came out perfect although Zoe spent two nights in the Special Care Nursery.  She was having trouble breathing and keeping her temperature up at first.  Luckily she was able to come home with us on Wednesday night.  We have truly been blessed.  The girls just had their 1 month appointment and are doing fabulously!  Hayden is now 7lbs, 4oz and Zoe is 7lbs, 3oz.  They are becoming more alert now and are changing so fast.  I still can't believe I have been a mom for a month and a half already.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice cards and gifts.  I am in the process now of putting together the baby announcement along with a picture.  I know I am way past due for getting thank you notes out.  Does having two babies at once count as an excuse??
Poor Maggs.  She is really enjoying the new babies, but she doesn't get much sleep either.  You can find her in this position for most of the day.  We're all hoping for more sleep soon!
