Zoe is really changing. She is a real crack up. She is picking up new words every day and will try to say anything you ask her to say. I was so surprised when she brought me a picture of an apple and then said it, Russ had taught her, but it was new for me. Every day she is doing something new to amaze me. |

Hayden remains a mommy's girl, which I love. She is much quieter than Zoe, at least in the talking department. But when she does talk, she speaks beautifully. I love her newest, "Mommy, mommy, mommy." I've heard from seasoned mom's that this won't always be so endearing. |

We took a trip to OC in February with our friends Dave and Amby. We stayed ocean side in a hotel with a pool. The beach was great. Hayden loved it, Zoe wasn't much of a fan... we'll give her time on that one. We're hoping to make it an annual trip. OC is so great during the winter. |

The girls got their 1st taste of the zoo when we went to the Catoctin Mountain Zoo. It was a little chilly, but the girls really liked feeding the animals. We're hoping to get to the national zoo this summer. |

Easter was great fun at my mom's house this year. The girls got to do their 1st egg hunt... indoors unfortunately. Zoe caught on quick to the fun of gathering all the eggs, but Hayden quit once she realized there were Teddy Grahams and marshmellows in the eggs she had already collected. |

The past few months have held lots of firsts for the girls- lollipops, raisins, and of course juice boxes. Anything they can do on their own is a big hit. |

We've been keeping busy around here. I recently took a part-time job at Target. I was really wanting to get out of the house for a little while and make some extra money. It has been going pretty well. The extra money is nice and I have enjoyed hearing all the stories from the high school kids I work with... I feel a little old these days. Since I started working Russ has gotten a taste of what it's like to be a stay-at-home dad. He has been quite a success. I have been training for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Breast Cancer walk which is August 13-15. I will be walking from Chantilly, VA to Washington D.C. over 3 days. Please visit www.3day.org to read more about the walk or to help with my fundraising efforts. Russ and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary next week. I can't believe all that the past four years has brought us. We are truly enjoying life. Our children keep us on our toes, keep us grounded, and have made our relationship stronger than I ever thought possible. We are looking forward to a great summer with trips to the pool and the park. Drop us a line when you get a chance. We'd love to hear what you're up to! |
