My Lumber Yard Shopping List


Hardware Needed

3/8 inch diameter wood countersink with pilot drill and a
matching plug cutter to fill the hole made by the countersink.

1 pound of 1 and a half inch long coated deck screws

1 pound of 2 and a half inch long coated deck screws

1 Eight ounce bottle of Tightbond 2 water resistant wood glue


Lumber Needed

3 Ten foot long 2 by 8 pressure treated lumber or suitable alternative

NOTE: carefully choose lumber that has tight wood grain and
free of knots if possible. Try to find three matching boards,
and look for wood grain that will accent the contours of the bench.
