Hello, this is the Southern Yankee Workshop custom bench home page. This page is not here to sell benches, but rather to explain the techniques that I used to make this bench and to show you how you can make a custom made bench like the one shown. Making this bench required some advanced woodworking techniques, so a basic understanding of wood joinery will help you understand what it is that I am explaining. The tools required to build this bench and the techniques I used are listed at the left. Bookmark this web page and refer to it as you set out to build a bench like the one shown. Follow the instructions shown and satisfy that desire to do it yourself. Use your creative energy to customize your bench as you see fit. Once you have that bench completed, friends will be amazed when you tell them it is not store bought. Experience the joy that I feel when I see another person taking time to enjoy a bench I made. If you find this page to be useful, please tell a friend about it and send me an e-mail to tell me how your bench turned out. Feel free to send a photo and I will add the picture to this page.

Thank you for spending time looking at my web page.
