School Objectives

The overall aim of our school is to lead our pupils towards maturity in all aspects of their development

Religious Development
We place a special emphasis on leading young people towards a mature faith. This means helping them to acquire the understanding, attitudes and values which enable them to judge and act in accordance with the Gospels. Hence the school provides regular instruction in religion and establishes a caring Christian community among teachers, parents pupils and parish clergy.

Academic Achievement
Developing a mature mind means helping the student to achieve a high standard of mastery over the subjects taught at school. So we emphasise the importance of each pupil working to the best of his ability and achieving a good academic standard.

Student Council 2000/2001

Emotional & Social Development
Emotional and social maturity is fostered by aiding young people to cope with and express their feelings in an appropriate way, to become self-reliant, responsible people who can relate properly with others. Our guidance service, year master, class-prefects and group activities help towards this end.

Science Lab

Phisical Development
Finally we lead our students towards physical maturity by involving them in Health Education, Physical Education and outdoor sports. Special importance is given to developing and encouraging Gaelic games among the students.
