RULES and ADDITIONAL INFO
Before you may apply for any of the roles, please read these rules. They will provide some additional information as to what you can or cannot do. They are also subject to change, so please keep up with the Updates.
Artists
- Please do not start doing any final artwork yet! We still have to work out the print resolution and size issues and we also need to see what everyone else is doing first so we can have a balance in themes and styles.
- Only your own original art may be submitted, of course.
- You are very strongly encouraged to both draw and, if you want to, colour your own artwork. If you really can't do one or the other, please make a note of it in the application. Or do a collaboration (see the Rules for it below)
- You may either do traditional hand-drawn art, pencil sketches or photo collages. However, openings for collages are limited.
- Please only apply for one month unless otherwise stated. There are fourteen open positions (12 months, front and back cover)
- Slash, among many genres, is very much allowed for the project, but please keep it clean (PG-13) The same goes for het, action and humour scenes.
- Please keep an open mind regarding what you want to draw. We want variety and balance (eg. as much as you all love Dorian, it's not a Dorian calendar) so you might not always get to draw your first choice.
If you are applying for the front cover, you will be required to do a group drawing of the League.
Writers
- Please do not start writing anything yet! Since you'll be paired up with an artist, you might want to see what they'll be doing first or at least contact them with ideas.
- Only your own original writing may be submitted, of course.
- Poetry and small excerpts of fanfiction are allowed.
- Please only apply for one month unless otherwise stated.
- Slash is allowed, but please keep all content (slash or otherwise) clean.
- Writing positions are very limited since it depends on whether or not an artist would like to be paired up with one or not. If you do not get a position, you can still help by beta-reading or collecting quotes for the grid.
Collaborations
- Please do not start working on anything final yet!
- The maximum number of collaborators is two. Anymore, and it's confusing.
- The two of you will be responsible for your own artwork (penciling and maybe colour) and, if you'd like, writing. You will not have any additional people assigned to work with you.
- Check the Rules for Artists and Writers.
Calendar Grid Designers
- Please do not work on anything yet! There will be two or three people working on this and you will need to coordinate among yourselves as well as with the artwork.
- You may use other calendars for inspiration, but please come up with your own final design.
- You will be responsible for looking up the holidays for the months you are assigned.
