Read It Again Bookstore

Read It Again is a non-profit, used-book store located in Monticello NY. All proceeds go to benefit the Literacy Volunteers of America - Sullivan Country and its mission to bring books and literacy to county residents who are unable to read.

What Kind of Books Do You Have?

We have books on topics ranging from cookery to business to history and travel. A large children's section offers Hardcovers and paperbacks and includes both fun reading and used books

What Price Do You Charge?

Most Hardcovers are $1.00 and paperbacks are 50 cents each. A few unusual or rare books are priced specially.

What are the Hours?

Read It Again is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

What Else Do You Offer?
Read It Again Bookstore

Read It Again offers a Book watch service. If you are looking for a particular, older book, give us a call. We'll look out for your request and call you when it comes in. If you are homebound, but need reading matter, call us. We'll select books for you. They can be picked up at the store, or we can mail them to you for the cost of the books plus book rate postage.

Periodically, we offer special events at the bookstore, including story hours and lectures. Call us at 794-0017 for Read It Again's ongoing schedule of activities.

How do I Donate Books?

We welcome book donations. Books may be dropped off at the United Way, in front of the store, Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tax Information

LVA-Sullivan County is a 501(c) (3) (non-profit) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible. If you donate books, we can provide an acknowledgment of your donation, including the number of books, for tax purposes.

Finding Read It Again

Read it Again is located at the corner of Bedford & Lakewood Avenues, Monticello NY, behind the United Way. You must turn onto Bedford Avenue from St. John Street since it is one-way. Read It Again's parking lot is on the left just before Lakewood Avenue. Read It Again is handicapped accessible and parking is provided in front of the store.
