| What Makes Ludo Play? | |||||||||
|
------ Andrew Volpe: I am smitten by the opportunity to play our music for two reasons: (1) to share with as many people as possible the cathartic experience of singing along to a good song, and (2) to store lyrics in those accessible and musically engaging songs that might actually make someone stop and think and feel something they otherwise wouldn't (kind of like a Trojan Horse type thing). Or the best is when someone sings along to a song they love without realizing that it's an indictment of how terrible people like them are - or when someone hums along to a song they like unaware that it's a love song about them. Rambling. Inarticulate. Stop. Beer and Kittens, Andrew ------ Tim Convey: for me... the opportunity to have the same impact on people that so many musicians / artists / performers have had on me. 123Rok, TC ------ Tim Ferrell: I do it because I have to. I'd go nuts if I didn't play. I used to be able to get away with just playing my guitar by myself and listening to music a ton, but now I eventually get stir crazy if I'm not playing live. I don't know why it is that music is the thing that keeps me sane, but that's the way it is. ------ Matt Palermo: Random people like you who see Ludo for a first time and end up buying a cd/love the music/go out of their ways to find out more about a band theyve seen just once/urge others to listen to the music and come to the next show/want to help the band out in any way/create fansites/make home-made Ludo t-shirts/do any crazy antics to support a band that simply appealed to themknowing that there are many people out there who will like and support a non-commercialized band and without the helps of them telling you to like itAll of that definitely inspires me. ------ Marshall Fanciullo: what inspires me to be in a band? being part of something that people relate to or respond to in such a way thatit is overwhelming i mean to be able to create something and have thisconnection to somebody else though expression is amazing and insipiring to methere were times in my life when i felt disconnected from a lot things and musicalways comforted me so to be able to be part of something that gives that backis inspiring music saved me so maybe through music i will save someone else.
