What is Counter-Strike ?

When you ask yourself this question you're probably in the wrong place and have to go someplace else. For those of you that want to learn something about CS, here it is:

Counter-Strike started of as a mod for the famous game Half-Life. It was soon to be discouvered by the already large amount of Half-Life multiplayers.

After a short while, the game was among fifty other titles proclaimed 'Game of the Year'and also proclaimed 'Best game ever'.

Purpose of the game:

The game is devided into 2 groups: terrorists and counter-terrorists, each with their own assignments and weapons.

The type of assignments are :

Bomb/Defuse:

During this assignment the T's have to blow up a bomb target with C4 and get away alive. With the help of his teammates, one person has to succeed in detonating the bomb. The CT's have to try and prevent this.

Hostage Rescue:

The CT's have to try and save hostages from the hands of T's and guide them to a save destination.This time it's up to the T's to prevent that.

Escape:

The T's have to try and escape from a certain building. They start with limitations to their arsenal and sometimes need to search for their weapons. The CT's need to prevent the T's from escaping by killing them.

Assasinate:

The CT's have the responsibility of protecting and rescueing a very important person to a rescue vehicle. In previous versions the VIP had just a knive, but in 7.0 they changed it to just a gun with some ammo. The T's have to try and assasinate the VIP.
