Pain!!
Page 4!!!!
Ezra decided to take Cassie to his secret spot today and tell her his decisions and read his poem, which he didn't think turned out very good, but he would read it to her anyway. "Do you feel up to a horseback ride? it would take about an hour of riding, in each direction, to get where I want to go." Ezra asked. "Yes, some fresh air is just what I need, where are we going?" She asked. "It's a surprise, lets just say it's somewhere I go when I need to be alone." Ezra said, then stood and took her hand, helping her out of the chair. They walked to the livery, where the horses were already saddled and ready to go. Ezra moved to assist Cassie on the horse, but she gave him a look, so instead he took her in his arms and kissed her long and deep, she began to swoon, his kiss always had such an effect on her. He kissed her deeper as she began to run her fingers through his hair, she really wanted to be with him. He finally stopped and they mounted their horses, heading for Ezra's secret spot.
Once they arrived at the spot, which was so beautiful that it took Cassie's breath away, Ezra put down a blanket, under a tree, so they were in the shade, it was a warm day and Ezra did not want Cassie getting over heated. He then helped her sit, then sat next to her, taking the piece of paper, with the poem on it, out of his pocket. "I want to read this poem, I wrote last night, I hope you like it." Ezra said, then began reading it, "The wind, ocean, and other sounds of the night, Orchestrate a gentle ariatta of strange, captivating music. My lover takes my hand, and we dance to nature's melody. Words of love waft gently through the still night air and warm my soul. As her sweet serenade comes to a close, I know it will play in my heart forever." Ezra had a tear in his eye, but Cassie was openly crying. "Oh Ezra, that is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard, I love it and I love you, so much." She whispered. Ezra took her in his arms and held her. "Now about my decisions, I do want to be with you, that is one of the reasons I brought you here, the other decision has to do with your health." Ezra said. Cassie pulled away from him, looking into his eyes, once again becoming lost in them, "What about my health?" She asked. "You may get angry with me for this, but I have been known to be selfish, I am not going to let you over do at anything, it may sound like I'm keeping you from having fun, but I'm not, I just don't want you doing too much, because I want you in my life for as long as possible." He said, waiting for her to get angry, but instead she leaned over and kissed him gently. "I could never be angry with you Ezra, I must admit, it does sound like your being a little over protective, but I love you for it." She said. They spent the next several hours there, sharing themselves with each other, joining their souls in love.
A month had passed and Ezra and Cassie had done a lot of things together, he even took her on a short trip to San Francisco, she had wanted to see that city, so he took her there. They had shared themselves often, enjoying being together. Ezra had kept Cassie happy, there were a few times when he had put a stop to something, because he thought it was too much for her, but he had been right, because she had gotten a severe headache shortly after. Ezra could hardly stand to watch her suffer when she got one of those headaches, but he knew it was only going to get worse. Right now, they were enjoying a beautiful day out at what had become "Their" secret spot, sitting in the shade of a tree and just enjoying each other's company. Ezra loved to just hold her in his arms, he never wanted to let go of her.
Cassie was always happiest when they were here, which was more and more often these days. She felt so good when she was in Ezra's arms, she could even forget some of the pain in her head, but not all, because it was steadily getting worse. She had not told Ezra how much worse the pain was, but she thought he could see it in her eyes. She was sitting next to Ezra's legs with her back against his chest and his arms tightly around her, she could feel his breath on her neck, it was beginning to drive her crazy. Then she felt his lips on her neck, as he began to kiss and nibble on her, she closed her eyes and tipped her head to the side, so he could have better access to her neck. He reached up and pulled her blonde hair out of the way. His soft, gentle lips were working magic, it made Cassie moan, he really knew what to do to make her feel good.
Ezra loved to kiss her neck, it was so soft and tasted sweet. He moved her hair out of the way with his hands, he loved her hair too, it was so soft and the curls seemed to just naturally wrap around his fingers, when he ran them through it. He really loved her, he was going to be so devastated when she was gone, but he hoped that was a long way off yet. He loved days like this, where the weather was beautiful and they spent the entire day out here. He moved from her neck up her jaw, running his lips along it, turning her so he could reach her face. He kissed her cheek, then her nose, she had her eyes closed, her breathing heavier, she brought her hand up to his hair as he took her mouth, kissing her gently, but deeply, tasting her sweet nectar, caressing her lips with his tongue, a request that was eagerly granted by Cassie, as they shared their tongues, making the kiss deeper yet, as their tongues and passion took over. Ezra began to probe her mouth with his tongue, wanting to feel and taste every inch of her sweetness.
Suddenly Cassie cried out, which brought the kiss to an end, she then collapsed in Ezra's arms, "Cassie? oh god no, not yet please god." Ezra pleaded. He touched his fingers to her neck, there was a pulse, it was a little weak, but not bad. She must have had one of those sharp pains again, he knew in his heart that her time was very short now, but he refused to admit it. He sat there holding her tight and rocking her in his arms, waiting for her pain to subside and she would wake. He gently kissed her mouth as she lay there, he needed to feel her lips, to know that he hadn't lost her, that she was still alive. Finally after about an hour, she began to stir. "Cassie, are you all right Darlin?" He asked her, with tremendous concern in his voice and eyes. "Ezra, I think so, the pain had just been so bad I guess I passed out, but I feel ok now." She replied, he placed another small kiss on her mouth, "I thought for a moment that I had lost you." He said with a tear in his eye. "Oh Ezra, I am so sorry, I hate that I am putting you through this." She replied, Ezra smiled at her, but it did not reach his eyes. "It is all right Cassie, I wouldn't trade this time with you for anything." He told her, then kissed her again. "Ezra, I need to make a request of you." She said, "What is it my dear?" He asked.
"Ezra, I want you to promise that you will try to have me here, with you, when I die, I desperately want to die here in your arms and I also want to be buried here, please?" She pleaded. Ezra looked at her with such sorrow in his eyes. "I wish you wouldn't talk about that." He whispered, "We have to Ezra, it won't be that long now, so please promise me." She said. Ezra sighed, he did not like talking about this, it hurt too much. "I promise to try Cassie, since we spend most of our time here, it should not be difficult, but I can't guarantee anything." He said. "I understand that Ezra, just as long as you try, I do love you Ezra, so much." She said and smiled. The pain in her head was bad, but she was trying to ignore it.
Ezra and Cassie went back to town, after her collapse, he wanted her to get some sleep. He escorted her to her room, she wanted him to stay with her, but he refused again, saying her sleep was more important. He took her in his arms, lowering his mouth to hers, she closed her eyes and let him kiss her, he kissed her so gently and tenderly, that she actually fell asleep in his arms, so he took her into her room and laid her on the bed, placing one last kiss on her lips, then covered her with a blanket and left. He almost hated being alone right now, all he did then was think of Cassie, he could not get over her, he admired her so much, the strenght and courage it took for her to even get through each day, with the pain she was in, not to mention the dizziness and occasions, like today, when she collapsed, but she never complained or asked for any special treatment, he was amazed by her.
