My ninth month

A month's time really passes like a snap of the fingers. It's that fast. I am nine months now. Well, I have some new development in me to tell you my dear guests. I now have two white teeth on my lower gums and I feel that upper teeth would be coming soon. My gums really feel very itchy. In addition to this, I am now able to stand on my two feet without help. I must continue trying though. I have also tasted fish (garoupa you bet!), pork and beef. I guess chicken just have to wait for a while. Perhaps, until I am a year old. I have also been enjoying some more fruits aside from the usual which I have already taken. I really enjoy having bananas, papayas and pears. Mom also tried giving me prune juice to counter the effect of banana and apple to my poo-poo. But yuk! The taste of that juice was just awful. I still don't know how to explain it but suffice it to say that my face crumples when I am having it.

I am also learning new skills like shaking hands and waving my hands to say goodbye to mommy and daddy. That is, only when I am in the mood. I am also trying to learn how to blow and send flying kisses but my hand stays in my mouth whenever I put it near. Well, I guess I just have to try some more. Of course, aside from all this, I still have my winning smiles which never fails to brighten daddy and mommy's mornings.

Ah yes! I am more talkative now. Of course, you would still be unable to understand what I am saying, but in place of the usual screams and gurgling tones, there are now monosyllabic tones. Very soon I think I could already say a primitive mama and dada.

Do you know that my mommy's getting popular in our place? That's because of me of course! You see, everybody in the condominium knows me. I guess, auntie (the cleaner), uncles (the security guards), and the others from the children to their nannies and parents were captivated by my smiles and happy disposition. I think, I can communicate with all races, be they Indians, Malays, Caucasians, Chinese and filipinos. Mom is known here as "the mother of Louis".

As in the previous months, I have enjoyed going out to the malls. My favourite time have always been going up and down the escalators. Maybe, when I get older I can take the thrill of a roller coaster ride.

Next month, I will be going to the Singapore Zoo. We are also going to have a picnic at the Botanic Garden. So, what are you waiting for? Click my tenth month page now and enjoy the show.
