On 29 December 2002, I was initiated to the Christian World with my baptism held at the Sto. Domingo Parish. You should have seen the crowd. The small chapel was packed with other babies and wellwishers. I was named Louis Roi. Louis of course follows my dad's name. I think it's the german or french equvalent of his spanish name while Roi is the french word for king. There have been many kings by the name of Louis. One of them was even made a saint.
Anyway, I guess the primary consideration was for my name to have the letters L and R which of course stands for the first letter of my parents' name. So I guess, when I get a baby sister, she would be named Racel Louise, or something close to that. But that is another story. Let's focus on me for now.

The chapel was packed alright, but I didn't care. I just wanted to catch up with my sleep. I was not able to sleep even a wink the night before. So even when the priest poured water on me, I didn't moved a bit. This was supposed to be a solemn occasion so I just tried to maintain my composure. |
With my godparents, from the left is ninong Mico, dad's officemate; ninong Noli who has been dad's classmate from gradeschool till highschool; my dad, mom, ninang Lani and ninang Ana. |

Above, photo shows my mom's colleagues from NKTI. There's also my ninong Mico and my friends Jeremy, Lance and Bea. I wonder why Bea did not face the camera. Was she shy or what? |
