Our Lake Mary High School NJROTC unit and our LMHS NJROTC Booster Club direct a great deal of effort toward fund raising.  We use fundraisers that require small, concentrated efforts as well as fundraisers that require a great deal of planning and preparation.  Some can be tracked for your Fair Share amount, others cannot, but there is a way here for everyone to help!

"Fair Share" ... All cadets are requested to participate in fund raising, and are given multiple opportunities throughout the year to do so. Our "Fair Share" program allows your cadet to participate and receive supplies without your having to lay out the funds each & every time. Each cadet is responsible for raising $200 per school year, which is considered their "Fair Share".
This can be done by fundraising (e.g. candy sales, Entertainment Book sales), or simply attending events in which we raise money (e.g. carwashes, Heathrow Arts Festival, Pepsi 400, Disney Iron Man).  Your cadet even gets credit if you attend the event, including your manning the Booster Box!  Some cadets have purchased a Starter Kit from the Booster Club (shirts & bags with polishes, needed for the year).  That goes towards their total, as does the $25 Booster Club fee.  There are so many ways to contribute.  We do not expect parents to write a check for $200!  We expect the cadets to take the initiative to be responsible & do their “Fair Share”.  Keep an eye on the News and Updates page for opportunities as they arise.

Other Easy ways to help...
(though these can not be tracked for Fair Share, they are well worth the effort!!)

Get and Use
your Albertsons Community Partners card EVERY time you shop at Albertsons.  It's easy, costs you nothing, and puts no demands on your time!  Cards can be picked up at Booster Club meetings, or by your cadet in their ROTC class.

Do you shop online?  Check out www.igive.com .
There are links to the home pages of over 460 stores (the regular ones you normally shop online with: Gap, Wal-Mart, Amazon, etc.) who have promised to give a % of the sale to registered organizations.  Log in and away you go!  Again, no demands on your time, and costs you nothing!

Do you use an ink jet printer at home?  The kids print pictures, reports, e-mails, song lyrics; you print Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, e-mails...  Have your cadet pick up a plastic ink jet recycling envelope in class.  There's a barcode stamped on it that will generate $1 for our unit for each returned ink jet cartridge.  No postage necessary!!  Just slip in the cartridge, close the top and place it in your mail box.  Easy shmeasy!

Monies help our cadets in a variety of areas:

assemble "starter" bags for new cadets (shoe polish, name plate, shirt stays, blue magic, PT t-shits, etc.) which are sold back to cadets at cost

other uniform supplies & fees

defray the cost of Navy Ball tickets

offset the cost of warm-up suits for competing cadets,

help pay for cadet transportation to and from field meet competitions

purchased a trailer to transport competition gear (rifles, flags, etc.)

and much more...
