My Parents Home My parents retired to Rockledge, Florida in 1997. 
I had visited here once or twice, but after my VISTA service was so rudely interrupted, I moved in for three months.
This is an aerial photograph of the subdivision where my parents built their retirement home. They were one of the first residents in this community! Their house is comfortable and airy, but the Florida climate is often hot and sticky. Air conditioning is a necessity.
NASA launches many vehicles from the Cape. I imagine that most of the launches carry secret cargo for national security purposes. Throughout human history, technology has been a valued currency. Today, the United States military and intelligence services endeavor to maintain control of satellite gray space, to assure a continued safeguard protecting our way of life.
 Disney may be the largest employer in the area. The Disney economy touches every facet of life here, from restaurants to lodging to recreation to banking. Orlando's main industries include tourism, finance, and law. Technology also forms a large part of the local economy here.
Certainly citrus forms a traditional base of Florida's revenue stream.
