Asian vapour trails Issue of Travel Trade Report, August 23-29, 1999 FAST-MOVING Asian Trails is now ready to open offices in Yangon, Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City according to managing director Luzi Matzig. The company opened an office in Phuket last week. Apart from flying his own six-seater aircraft sporting his company logo, Mr Matzig has finalised the set-up of offices in neighbouring countries. He recruited Laurent Kuenzle and Jacques Guichandut to open offices in Yangon and Phnom Penh while an office in Ho Chi Minh City, under the umbrella of a local corporation, will open in September. Kuoni’s switch from Diethelm Travel to Asian Trails, due to take place on 1 November, moved into top gear last week when Diethelm Travel asked Monika Peter, Kuoni’s manager, to leave.
