GO ON, BELIEVE
THE HYPE
With reference to your issue of July 5-11, in which
your Page 3 headline says, Internet IS a lot of hype.
Good. I hope more people will believe that and, in
five years time, they will wake up and realise they have missed
the boat, train or plane.
As far as Diethelm Travel is concerned, the Internet
works for us. Our home page has generated business for us and
we get bookings every day on the Net.
I am glad we started our Internet department which
now has three fulltime staff looking after enquiries and reservations.
This will soon be expanded to six staff within a year or so.
I am glad there are competitors out there who are
sceptical of the worth of the Internet. That's good for us, it's
our competitive advantage.
