RULES AND REGULATIONS

1)      Only Students enrolled in a graduate or post graduate degree or diploma program in any institution can participate.

2)      All fields of the entry form must be filled and signed by the participant.

3)      A photocopy of the participants ID from their institution they study at must accompany the entry

4)      A bonafide certificate or letter from the institution should accompany all entries.

5)      One student can submit more than one entry. There is absolutely no submission or processing fee.

6)      Application forms can be photocopied or printed.

7)      Entries must be around 30 minutes only.

8)      Entries must be in VCD or DVD format compatible with Indian standards.

9)      If the production is in a language other than English, there should be subtitles in English.

11)  Final date for accepting entries is february 15th, 2007.

12)  Entries submitted after the deadline will be disqualified.

13)  Entries submitted again for any consideration will be disqualified

15)  Submitted entries will not be returned.

16)  The videos will not be sent back in any circumstances.

17)  The AVA jury/committee will preview and censor all entries and decide which ones will be screened/nominated on/for the day of the event. The AVA committee/jury has the right to exclude any entry that seems unfit according to their criteria for participation or screening. The AVA jury/committee’s decisions on selections are final. Only participants whose entries are selected for screening will be informed by email or telephone.

18)  The jury will decide the winners on the day of the event.  The jury’s decisions are final.

19)  AVA is not responsible for any damages done to your entries.

20)  AVA is not responsible for any wrongful use of the entries by any third parties.

21)  AVA has the right to use the entries partially or completely in order to promote              the event.

22)  First place winners for documentary and short film will be awarded cash prizes of 10,000\- rupees each.

23)  First place winner for ad-film will be awarded a cash prize of 5000\- rupees.

24)  Second place winners for documentary and short film will be awarded cash prizes of 3000\- rupees each.

25)  Second place winner for ad-film will be awarded a cash prize of 1500\- rupees.

26)  Five consolation prizes of 500/- rupees will be awarded for exceptional entries.
