White Belt
1. From Joon Be: Feet together, L hand on top of R arm in fist. Step forward obkubi stance with L foot. Downblock L.
2. Feet together, raise up L arm, R hand underneath L. Step forward obkubi stance with R foot. Middle block R.
3. Feet together, straighten R arm, L hand under R. Step forward obkubi stance with L foot. High block L.
4. Feet together, straighten L arm, R hand in fist raised outside by ear. Step forward obkubi stance with R foot. Outside-in block R.
5. Feet together, straighten R arm, L knife-hand raised outside by ear. Step forward obkubi stance with L foot. Knife-hand chop to neck.
6. Slide L foot BACK to R foot. R hand on top of L arm. Step BACK obkubi stance with L foot. Downblock R.
7. thru 10. Continue same blocks as above but moving backwards. They will end up being the opposite hand that you blocked with the first time.
Yellow Belt
1. From Joon Be: Feet together, L hand on top R arm. Step forward obkubi stance L foot, downblock L. Punch R.
2. R hand on top L arm, step into horse stance with R foot in front, downblock R to your R side. Raise R arm, kick R foot up to L knee, step out forward into obkubi stance, R foot front.
Punch L.
3. Step into backstance with L foot front, knife-hand block L (keep R hand in fist at side). While still in backstance, punch R.
4. Punch L. Step forward into horse stance with R foot front and punch R.
5. Step forward into horse stance with L foot front and punch L.
6. Look R, Bring L arm across chest, kick up R foot and put back down into horsestance, punch R. (You should be looking in the direction of where your starting point was)
7. Bring your L foot to your right. Repeat 1-6.
Orange Belt
1. From Joon Be: step BACK with R foot into backstance, raise fists to R side (L fist by R ear, R arm extended) double block low.
2. Twist body to left keeping both fists at left side (you still should be looking forward). Slide R foot forward to be in L backstance. Double block middle.
3. Twist body to right, raise both hands at R side in knife-hand position. (L hand should be by R shoulder and R arm extended back). Step forward L into R backstance and double knife-hand block low.
4. Twist body to left, raise both hands at L side in knife-hand position. (R hand should be by L shoulder and L arm extended back). Step forward R into L backstance and double knife-hand block middle.
5. Slide L foot together to R, put fists palm side up on each side of your waist. Step forward obkubi stance L. Cross-block low. Bring fists back to waist, only palms down this time. Uppercut to ribs.
6. Slide R foot together to L, put fists palm side up on each side of your waist. Step forward obkubi stance R. Cross-block high. Bring fists back to waist, only palms down this time. Uppercut to ribs.
7. Slide L foot together to R, feet pointed 90 degrees L. Raise arms as in move 1, stepping L foot forward into R backstance. Double block low(You should be moving in the direction where you came from) 8.-14. Repeat moves 2-7.
Brown Belt
1. From Joon Be, Look (L) and turn feet into (R) backstance. Double block�(L) middle block, eye level, (R) hand high block, 90� R of where you�re looking.
2. Look (R) and turn your feet into (L) backstance. Double block�(R) middle block, eye level, (L) hand high block, 90� L of where you�re looking.
3. Step 90� L into (R) backstance, double knife hand block middle.
4. Bring L hand 90� down, step forward into (R) obkubi, knife hand thrust (R) with (L) hand supporting under (R) elbow.
Twist your body so your obkubi stance is facing 90� (L), and keeping your (L) hand under your (R) elbow, palm block low (R).
5. Turn all the way around (L) so you�re facing front again in (R) backstance, backfist (L)
6. Bring L hand 90� down as knife hand, step forward into (R) obkubi, knife hand thrust (R) with (L) hand supporting under (R) elbow.
7. Twist your body so your obkubi stance is facing 90� (L), and open hand face block (R). (L hand is down by R side in fist)
8. Turn L 180� so your feet are in (R) backstance. Execute move 1. Repeat moves 1-7. On move 3, you should be facing the direction you originally came from. After finishing move 7 again, repeat moves 1 and 2 to finish.
High Brown Belt
1. Feet together, (R) hand fist down across body on L side, (L) hand fist up by (R) shoulder. Step
forward (L) obkubi, double mountain block. (L hand downblock, right hand middle block)
2. Step forward (R) obkubi, punch (R)
Twist body so you�re in obkubi facing 90� L, and palm block low (R)
3. Open your (R) hand facing forward again and bring your feet together. Step out (L) obkubi and (L) elbow. (R hand simulates grabbing the attacker�s head).
4. Step forward into (L) backstance, middle block (R).
5. Slide (R) foot into (R) obkubi stance (making target w/R hand), double punch (L/R)
6. Bring (L) foot up in back of (R) leg, fists at sides, palms up. Step forward into (L) obkubi stance, simultaneous double punch�L hand to throat, R hand to solar plexis.
7. Turn 180� (R), picking up (R) foot in back of (L) leg. Step forward into (R) obkubi stance, simultaneous double punch�R hand to throat, L hand to solar plexis.
8. thru 14. Repeat steps 1-7.
Red Belt
This is a power technique, so each move must be done extremely slow but with a lot of strength...at the last possible second, the "snap" is made.
1. Feet together, (L) hand on top of (R) arm. Step out (L) foot obkubi stance. Downblock.
2. Twist your body (R) having hands up in knife hands (L hand by R ear, and R arm extend out back). Twist back to (L) obkubi stance 45� L (but have your body and block still forward, your right foot should be up on toes) and double knife-hand block (L hand high block, R hand middle block--like move #5 in Taegeuk #4).
3. Feet together, cross (R) arm over (L) in front of you. Step out (R) obkubi, uncross arms for block.
4. Feet together, step out (L) obkubi, hands in fists by your (R) side (palms down). Double middle block (L hand in mid block position, R hand in mid block only lower, fist supporting L elbow)
5. Slide (R) hand forward down (L) arm as if grabbing attacker's throat.
(L) arm will support under (R) elbow (with a fist, as if you were positioning your hand to make a high block with it) As you're doing this, step forward with your (R) foot and cross your (L) foot in back, stay on ball of (L) foot and make sure knees are bent.
6. Face the direction where you came from, lift (L) foot behind (R) knee, and double mountain block (L hand as if downblock, R hand as if middle block)
7. Feet together (you should be facing the direction you came from) and
repeat 1-6.
Deputy Belt
1. Step out into (L) obkubi stance and downblock (L)
2. Bring feet back together and Twist body and feet 90� R (still look forward though). Hammerfist (L) (be sure to bring (L) hand up to (R) shoulder.)
3. Turn body back to facing front, bring (L) hand down 90�, step forward into (R) obkubi, knife hand thrust (R) (like brown hand technique move #4).
4. Bring (R) hand up by ear in knife hand, make a left fist target. Kick up (R) foot to (L) knee, turn 90� (L) into horse stance, knife chop to neck (bring L fist back to waist). Elbow (R), straighten both arms in front of you, (R) fist crossed over (L) and execute elbows in back of you, fists palm up.
5. Skip 90� (R) into (L) backstance (so you�re facing front again) and middle block (R).
6. Slide foot into (R) obkubi, double punch (L/R)
7. Feet together, step out (L) obkubi, cross hands (fists) in front of you and quickly uncross them for double block (palms facing out). Bring fists back to waist (palms down) and uppercut.
8. Bring (R) palm open hand down by waist. Step 90� (L) into horse stance and palm strike (hit with the heel of your hand) out to your (R) side.
9. Turn 90� (L) (so you�re facing the direction where you originally came from) and �butterfly� hands down in front of you (your feet should be in Joon Be and you should be facing the direction you originally came from).
10. Put arms straight out in front of you, open hands, bend your knees to squat down. Step (L) into horse stance and double elbow out to each side.
11. Stay in horse stance and while skipping to your L, punch (R) over your (L) shoulder (look in back at your target.)
12. Stay in horse stance and while skipping to your R, punch (L) over your (R) shoulder (look in back at your target.)
13. Repeat steps 1-12.
