Demon in my View by Ameilia Atwater-Rhodes

Jessica is the dark brooding heroine of this story, the classic goth girl. She is highly misunderstood and really does not get along with her foster mother, or anyone else for that matter. She writes under a pen name, and is quite popular. Then one day at school, she runs into a living version of her most recent character. Not only that, but they begin to fall for one another. Now Jessica is faced with being hunted by the creatures she creates, or being that which she writes about.

Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

Personally, the best book this author has written. I absolutely adore this book.
A war has been going on for centuries between the hawks and the cobras. But now, two young people from each tribe strive to stop it, the princess of the hawks, and the prince of the cobras. But peace will not be so easy to achieve, and the plan they devise is not so east to carry out. With opposing natures, and enemies all around, the two begin to fall in love. Will their love prove stronger than the disapproving peoples, and prove to be an example as a hope for the new generations?

Snakecharm by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

The second book of the Kiesha'ra series. Another favorite of mine. Zane, the king of cobras, and Danica, the Queen of Hawks, have been happily married and working for peace within the kingdoms. Even better, the two are expecting a child, another beacon of hope in the unsettling peace of their nations. The Hawks and Snakes are finally getting along when a new threat appears, the Falcons, more powerful than even the Hawks and Snakes combined. This tribe is appaled by the fact that a child of mixed breed is about to come to fold. But the Falcons are there for other reasons, one being on the lookout for a runaway. Danica and Zane are once again pushed to their limits to preserve the peace they worked so hard to obtain, but the truth they find out may just be too much for them.

Not sure if this was originally in spanish or not, but there is a translation of it. It's a really good book set in the present but full of mystery. She is forced to take Alez with her on an expedition to the Amazon, but he is looking forward to it. That is until he learns that someone is trying to tear it down, and will do anything to do it. Lord of the Flies by William Golding

This is a GREAT book! Nothing fantasy like in this, but there is a lot of symbolism. I read it for school, and I was glad they made me. It's during WWII and a group of boys gets stranded alone on an island when their plane goes down. But these kids don't know where to begin, and choose Ralph to lead. For awhile everything seems fine. However, a group of boys alone on an island aren't going to stay good forever. You have saint figures, like Simon, and brains, like Piggy. Then you have chaos and evil on the other. You even have a beast. This is a very entertaining read.

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

Can't remember anything. I read this in elementary school. The only reason I put this book on here was because I remembered it, and it gets such high praise. If you don't even know the basic storyline it's this, a kid finds a treasure map, and after his mother's inn is burned to the ground, he sets out to find this treasure. But he can't do it alone, and teams up with a group of pirates. And this is no ordinary treasure. Can this young fellow save his mother, or will he be torn apart like the crew?

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown

Prequel to The Di Vinci Code, this book ROCKS! It sends you through a journey between science and religion, on reason versus faith, and ultimately coming to the truth. Vittoria isn't your classic damsel in distress, she is a strong willed buddhist scientist, and Langdon is your logical professor who begins to have faith. With twists and turns, and where NO ONE is as they same, this book will keep you enthralled till the end. You think one thing, but it's completely opposite. It's great!

The Di Vinci Code by Dan Brown

In the process of reading this. But it does feature Robert Langdon, but no Vittoria, which is very disappointing. Robert is called again to solve a mystery that could shake the foundations of the world as we know it. Its another race against time. But I heard Angels and Demons is better, and I have the feeling it's true.
