After this ordeal he left Toronto and returned to New York for a few months, leaving his businesses to be managed by his retainers. It was during these months that the world-wide attack by Malkavians on his clan occured. He managed to somehow survive and returned to Toronto. Following visions he had been receiving, he managed to enter the underground library of Daviday Dicillio and managed to retrieve a torpored Cerebrus warghoul as well as a sword which once belonged to both Veritas Ante and Cullim before their deaths.
The next month was hectic for the Kindred in Toronto as attacks by the Lupines became more frequent. Apparently two factions of werewolves were at war and each saw Kindred inaction in their conflict as support for the opposing faction. With a hatred of Lupines stemming from the Little Victor Massacre and a fear for his own safety, he decided a preemptive strike was called for. Driven by anger and fear, Viktor bulldozed Lupine meeting grounds and arranged gang hits against suspected Lupines and their families. They were not amused and attacked Viktor en-masse in his own haven. It is still unknown as to how he managed to kill all 40-odd of them without receiving a scratch.
During the next gathering of Kindred, bidding on the Cerebrus warghoul intensified as yet more Kindred joined the auction. Included in the bidding was one Lucienne Lascal. Lucienne placed a substancial bid and offered to pay even more if he could see the warghoul itself. Viktor agreed. Requisitioning a helicopter from the Brigadier, Lucienne and Viktor made their way to the area where the warghoul was being stored. After examining the warghoul, Lucienne and I made our way back to the event where his true intentions became apparent as he publicly executed Viktor for inciting the Lupines despite having no proof.
